November is a busy month at AWTHS (Arcanum Wayne Trail Historical Society) with three main events you will want to Save the Date for. Those include November 1, November 13 and November 28-29.
November 1 from 9-noon are Open Hours at AWTHS. Special display is the American 250 Traveling Educational Panels, sponsored by the local Fort GreeneVille Daughters of the American Revolution Chapter (DAR). Come and view for free. The six panels feature the past, present and future of Darke County and yes, Arcanum, is included as well as Pitsburg and New Madison area.

November 13 is our program with guests from the Fort GreeneVille DAR, Debbie Nisonger and Linda Riley, as they talk about America 250 and the plans for Darke County. The program begins at 6:30 pm with the doors open at 6pm for our guests to view the educational panels ahead of the program. If you miss our Open hours on November 1, join us November 13 to view the panels before going back to the Garst Museum. AWTHS special America 250 displays will be viewable as well and then again at the first of the 2026 year.

November 28-29 is our annual Christmas Bazaar which is our main fundraiser for the year, used to maintain our facility and offer educational programs and open hours, including the research library, for the public.
