Darke County Revolutionary War Patriots

As part of the America-250 Anniversary, AWTHS honors the nation’s celebration with displays, patriots bio’s in readable form, and a map with all the patriots names and cemetery locations where some are actually buried and some where memorial stones are placed in their memory.

Here we offer the complete brochure-tour package for your reading which coorelates with the America-250 Traveling Educational Panels that have been all around Darke County over the last several months. One of the panels features “Our Patriots”; however, there wasn’t room to feature all of the bio’s so we’ve included them here on our website.

The bio’s are also in the AWTHS archives available for viewing and research during open hours. Hours this year include November 1 and December 6 from 9-noon. Come and check out the cemetery map or read page one and go check out some local cemeteries during this beautiful fall weather!

The panels will be viewable November 1 from 9-noon as well as November 13 at 6pm.

Thank you to the Fort GreeneVille DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) for use of their Revolutionary War Patriot Commemorative Tour information.
