The Arcanum Wayne Trail Historical Society, Inc. is a sponsor of the June 13, 2027 Home Tour of the area.
Six locations will be a part of the first annual home tour: 3 unique Arcanum homes and 3 Graystone Ranch Properties. Locations selected are private individuals and a business which have graciously extended an invitation to the public to view their properties.
The presale tickets are $20 a person and will be available for sale starting early April 2027. More details will be announced so please follow our Facebook page for AWTHS. Note: tickets are presale only and not available at the tour locations.
Two of the Arcanum homes are older historic homes. Melissa’s home once was a doctor and dentist office. It has been beautifully restored and has many lovely features and art work inside.
The other home is the former JoAnne and Dave Hill home now owned by Tim Becker and Michael Scott. They have been very busy updating the home and we all are looking forward to seeing this beauty and the changes. This home was once Milton Smith, whose family operated the John Smith General Store on West George. It has been passed down through the family over the years.
Linda’s home is a newer home but beautifully decorated in colonial period furnishings and many antiques and family heirlooms from her former farm as well as family. The crowning glory of this home is the lovely landscaping and back yard pool. This will be in lovely bloom in June to view.
The three Graystone Ranch properties include the main venue on Gordon Landis Road in a beautiful wooded setting. It is the center of beautiful outdoor weddings and a get away for families and special events. The other property is the Governor’s Cabin, a log home that is definitely period decorated and draws you back into the early 1800’s. This is also available for rentals for wedding parties and guests wanting to enjoy a country side stay. The third property is the Farmhouse which is also available for rentals and guests.
We will have more updates and historical pieces later so watch our Facebook page and awths web site.
And don’t forget to purchase your tickets in the spring! If you or your company would like to be a sponsor of the tour, with advertising in our tour program, please contact AWTHS at awthsinfo@gmail.com.
