March Events

AWTHS will host open hours Saturday, March 2, from 9-noon at 123 West George in Arcanum. We always recommend appointments for research but visitors are always welcome to come in the browse the research library, old newspapers or the many books, photos and binders available.

March 14 at 7pm our program will be Dayton*Union Railroad: Continuing the Story by Todd Clemmons.

Todd is no stranger to Arcanum or AWTHS. He recently authored the book, “The Rails and Tales of the Dayton & Union Railroad: The Early Years. Todd will continue the story of the railroad as compiled in his recent book on the early history of the D&U.

AWTHS was integral in helping Todd research through their archived newspapers and connections in Darke County including Arcanum. If you love trains and are a follower of the D&U or history of the tracks through Darke County, you won’t want to miss this informative program!

Todd may have a few books left to sell-check with the author as to availability as there is not any presently at awths or the Arcanum businesses.
