2024 Program Year

AWTHS has announced their program year for 2024. Please follow our blogs and AWTHS Facebook page for event listings and updates.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Arcanum Wayne Trail Historical Society. At each program a few memories will be shared about the historical society. Join us in September, 2024 for cake as well.

Open Hours

Open Hours are the First Saturday of each month from 9-noon except April hours will be April 20 in the afternoon to align with Arcanum’s Alumni program. See the Arcanum Alumni Association for details and RSVP’S. Appointments are recommended if visiting the Research Library at [email protected].

Programs

March 14: “The Rails and Tales of the Dayton & Union Railroad: The Early Years” by Todd Clemmons. 7pm.

April11: DCCA will present “Wild Carrot” at 7pm at AWTHS. Ticketed event.

May 9: Kelli Bergheimer will present “Your DNA Guide” at 7pm.

September 12: Mike Wells program on “The Perilous Road to the Treaty of Greenville”

November 14: Virtual tour of Arcanum by Cary Wogoman

Farmers Market will resume in June-September, every Saturday morning, at 9am at the Veterans Park. Vendors are needed and welcome to set up their products.

November 29 & 30 is annual Christmas Bazaar. Christmas donations are welcome-volunteers are needed.

We hope you will visit during Open Hours or attend our programs. We encourage membership and appreciate all our volunteers and chairs as well as our community’s support to help in our endeavor to record, preserve, teach and communicate about Southern Darke County history! Help us pass the torch down to the next generation.
