Please message or contact AWTHS if you have additional businesses to add for Arcanum, Pitsburg, Ithaca, Gordon, Castine, or Twin-Monroe-Franklin-Butler-Van Buren Townships. Most little villages had a elevator at least or feed store.

We would like to update our Southern Darke County history on businesses as the Arcanum business book goes through 1968. We have some history in the black Arcanum book from 1999. But an update from 1968-present would be nice. If you would wish to contribute or help organize this project, please contact Annette Stewart.

Pitsburg was updated several years ago with the Pitsburg program.

Nothing has been updated on Gordon since Abraham Lincoln’s Gordon books.

Same with the Ithaca book by Jeanette Burke or booklet of Castine.

Photos, stories, information etc would be appreciated to keep our history accurate and updated.

Thank You!
